The Texas Chain Saw Massacre Returns in a Blood-Soaked Mediabook Edition
Tobe Hooper’s classic horror film The Texas Chain Saw Massacre is getting a lavish re-release. Turbine Medien will launch a limited Mediabook edition on May 21, 2026. The set includes Ultra HD Blu-ray discs, rare extras, and even a replica chainsaw in a special bundle. The film follows five young travellers who stumble upon a terrifying clan of cannibals in rural Texas. This new edition celebrates the cult classic with premium features.
The Mediabook is restricted to 1,444 copies and comes with HDR10 and Dolby Vision support. Inside, buyers will find a Blu-ray, two bonus discs, a detailed booklet, and a Capbox packed with memorabilia. Extras include photo-prop replicas, a Japanese-style program leaflet, stickers, and a reproduction of the Leatherface family’s order pad. A Deluxe Bundle, limited to just 222 units, adds a chainsaw replica. The release also features two new documentaries, *Chain Reactions* and *Dinner with Leatherface*, presented as separate Blu-rays in DigiPak packaging. Audio options include German and English tracks in Auro 3D and Dolby Atmos for an immersive experience.
