Classic Universal Soldier Sequels Finally Hit Blu-ray This Summer
Two classic action sequels are making their Blu-ray debut this summer. Retro Gold 63 Films has announced the first-ever high-definition releases of Universal Soldier 2: Brothers in Arms and Universal Soldier 3: Unfinished Business. Fans can now own these films in a format previously unavailable to collectors. The Blu-ray for Universal Soldier 2: Brothers in Arms arrives on July 27, 2026. This release comes in three distinct versions: a standard edition, an exclusive mediabook available only through the Retro Gold 63 shop, and a limited Scanavo case edition restricted to 250 copies. Bonus materials include the original VHS trailer for the sequel and a featurette exploring the FSK16-rated edits of the film.
Presales for both *Universal Soldier 2* and *Universal Soldier 3: Unfinished Business* open on May 10, 2026, at 7 PM. The latter film, like its predecessor, will also receive its first Blu-ray release. Retro Gold 63 Films has not yet detailed the special features for *Universal Soldier 3*, but the announcement confirms its simultaneous availability for preorder.
The Blu-ray editions mark the first time these sequels appear in high definition. Collectors can choose from multiple versions, including a rare Scanavo case for Universal Soldier 2. Both films will be up for presale in early May, with the official release of Universal Soldier 2 set for late July.
