Wolfsburg's Summer Stage Festival Returns with Bold New Energy and Venues
Wolfsburg’s Summer Stage festival returns this year with a fresh new look. Running from June 19 to 27, the event will bring music, energy, and a lively atmosphere to the Baroque Garden. For the first time, the historic Brauscheune at Schloss Wolfsburg will also join as a venue, adding a unique twist to the celebrations. The 2026 festival kicks off under the motto ‘cheekier, younger, brighter’—a promise of bold performances and vibrant entertainment. Die Schlagzeugmafia will open the event on June 19 with their high-energy drumming, setting the tone for the week ahead. Audiences can expect everything from dynamic Irish folk to soulful pop and Italian Balkan-punk.
The festival’s final night on June 27 will feature Babbutzi Orkestar, an Italian band known for their explosive, genre-blending sound. A day earlier, Malou Lovis, winner of *The Voice of Germany*, takes the stage with her powerful vocals. Kai-Uwe Hirscheide, Wolfsburg’s First City Councilor and Head of Cultural Affairs, highlighted the inclusion of the Brauscheune as a way to breathe new life into the historic castle complex. Lord Mayor Dennis Weilmann called the Summer Stage a cornerstone of Wolfsburg’s cultural scene. The event has been supported by the Volkswagen Group as its main sponsor for over 30 years, ensuring its continued success.
This year’s festival expands its reach by incorporating the Brauscheune alongside the Baroque Garden. With a mix of established acts and rising stars, the Summer Stage promises nine days of music and celebration. Tickets and further details are available through the city’s official cultural programme.
