Spirit Airlines' Free Spirit loyalty program rewards travelers with no-expiry points

Spirit Airlines, headquartered in Florida, operates flights across the U.S. and internationally from two main hubs. The airline’s loyalty scheme, Free Spirit, lets passengers collect points for future travel by spending on flights and partner services. Points can be redeemed for flights starting at just 2,500, with no expiry for active members.

The Free Spirit programme offers two elite tiers: Silver and Gold. These are earned by accumulating Status Qualifying Points (SQPs) through travel and purchases. Unlike many airlines, Spirit does not belong to any global alliance or partner with other carriers.

Bookings can be made directly via Spirit.com or through third-party platforms like Google Flights. The airline also runs the Spirit Saver$ Club, a paid membership costing $69.95 per year that provides flight discounts and additional perks.

While Spirit does not operate its own airport lounges, Priority Pass access is available through certain credit cards or via the airline’s online shopping portal. Points in the Free Spirit programme remain valid as long as members earn or redeem them within 12 months, or if they hold a co-branded credit card.

Spirit’s loyalty programme focuses on flexibility, with points that never expire for active users. The airline’s two hubs—Fort Lauderdale and Detroit—serve as key bases for its network. Passengers can access rewards through direct bookings, partner spending, or membership benefits.
