Biysk Ends Heating Season

Biysk to end heating season five days earlier in 2026

Biysk Mayor Viktor Shchigrev has announced the end of the city's heating season.

"Dear residents of Biysk! I would like to inform you that, due to sustained warm weather and rising average daily outdoor temperatures, the heating season in the city will conclude on April 23, 2026."

In 2025, the heating season in Biysk ended on April 28.

Earlier, heat utility providers explained that heating is shut off in reverse order. While schools, kindergartens, and hospitals are the first to receive heat at the start of the season, these critical social facilities are the last to be disconnected when the heating period ends.
