Yevgenia Bogdanovich takes helm of Magadan's Metallist sports complex
Yevgenia Bogdanovich, a long-time figure in Magadan’s cultural and sports scene, has taken on a new role as director of the Metallist sports complex. Born and raised in the region, she brings years of experience in event management, media, and community development to her latest position. Bogdanovich was born on December 31, 1983, in Magadan. She completed her secondary education at Magadan School No. 7 before earning a degree in social and cultural service management, with a focus on tourism, hospitality, and restaurant business.
Her career began in media as a television announcer for the Karibu TV channel. Later, she shifted to event management, working as a host and scriptwriter for major city and regional events. She also served as an event manager for the Snegorka ski resort. From 2016 to 2025, Bogdanovich worked at the Snezhny sports and wellness complex, starting as a manager and eventually becoming its director. During this time, she played a key role in launching two major cultural initiatives: the Mayak Park Cultural and Community Center (KOTs PM) and the Center for Cultural Development (TsKR) between 2019 and 2025. Under her leadership, Magadan completed the first session of the *Cultural Beacon: Speak to Be Heard* programme. Beyond her administrative work, she is also the creator of the *Sport for All* project, which promotes physical activity across Magadan.
Now leading the Metallist sports complex, Bogdanovich continues to shape Magadan’s cultural and athletic landscape. Her background in media, event organisation, and sports management positions her as a key figure in the region’s ongoing development.
