YATEK Champions Future Engineers at CASE-IN 2023 Oil and Gas Challenge
The 11th International Engineering Championship CASE-IN took place in 2023, drawing 156 teams and nearly 700 participants. Among them were future energy specialists and professionals from various industries. The event featured a strong partnership with YATEK PJSC, which played a key role in the Oil and Gas track. YATEK served as the strategic partner for the Oil and Gas track of the Student League. The competition unfolded in three stages: preliminary rounds, semifinals, and a final held in Moscow. Five YATEK employees also joined the expert judging panels to evaluate the participants.
The company presented an exclusive educational case study focused on extracting liquid hydrocarbons from byproducts of oil and gas production in East Siberian fields. At YATEK’s booth, visitors could take part in a quiz, compete for the best question to an expert, and fill out a potential candidate questionnaire. The booth also featured a performance by Yuliana Krivoshapkina, a renowned jew’s harp virtuoso. In the end, the team *Camera Processing* from Tomsk Polytechnic University won the Oil and Gas track. As their prize, the winners received a tour of Yakutia and a paid internship at YATEK.
The championship provided a platform for young engineers to showcase their skills and engage with industry leaders. YATEK’s involvement, from case studies to career opportunities, reinforced its commitment to supporting emerging talent in the energy sector. The event concluded with tangible rewards for the winning team, including professional development opportunities.
