VTB quintuples Chinese supplier database for Russian SMEs in six months

VTB has expanded its database of Chinese suppliers for Russian small and medium-sized businesses by five times in under six months. The updated list now includes over 2,500 Chinese companies seeking partnerships with Russian firms. The announcement came during the 10th Russia-China EXPO in Harbin, where VTB played a key role as an official sponsor. Julia Kopytova, VTB’s Senior Vice President and Head of Analysis, Coordination, and Product Development, revealed the growth at the event. The expansion reflects China’s continued importance as a major trade partner for Russian businesses.

At the EXPO, VTB presented solutions for foreign economic activity, including advanced document verification technologies. These systems ensure full compliance with legal requirements in both Russia and China, streamlining cross-border transactions.

Experts from VTB and VTB Shanghai also held consultations for entrepreneurs. They focused on secure and profitable business operations, emphasising speed, transparency, and reliable information when connecting with Chinese counterparts.

The 10th Russia-China EXPO took place in Harbin from May 17 to 21. VTB’s participation highlighted its commitment to supporting trade between the two countries through digital tools and expert guidance. The expanded database and new verification technologies aim to simplify trade for Russian businesses. With over 2,500 Chinese suppliers now listed, VTB provides faster access to verified partners. This move strengthens economic ties between Russia and China while ensuring legal compliance for all transactions.
