The World Financial Innovation Series (WFIS) is set to take place in Hanoi on 19-20 May. The event will bring together over 500 delegates from top financial institutions to discuss major shifts in Vietnam’s banking sector. New regulations coming into force in 2026 are driving structural and operational changes across the industry. The summit will focus on key topics such as cloud-native banking platforms, digital money, and cybersecurity governance. Among the speakers, Thuong Nguyen, Deputy CDAIO at VietinBank, will share insights on data and AI capabilities. Ngoc Lan Anh Nguyen, CTO & COO at Standard Chartered Bank, will also address strategies for inclusive growth and financial inclusion.

The Vietnam Banks Association (VNBA) is supporting the event as a partner. Gold sponsors include nCino, StreamCube, Audax, CleverTap, and WSO2. Sudhir Jena, Co-founder & CEO of Tradepass, has emphasised the importance of the platform in helping financial institutions navigate Vietnam’s evolving financial landscape. The two-day summit aims to provide a space for industry leaders to exchange ideas and solutions. With new regulations on the horizon, the discussions will shape how banks adapt to upcoming challenges. The event’s outcomes could influence future strategies in Vietnam’s financial sector.
