Viersen's City.Country.Market returns with sustainability and family fun on May 10

Viersen’s annual City.Country.Market returns on Sunday, May 10, running from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. The event will blend local shopping, sustainability, and family-friendly activities in the heart of the city. Visitors can explore regional products, artisan crafts, and natural goods at the market. A special focus will be the 'Market of Sustainability,' where every stall ties to at least one of the UN’s 17 Sustainable Development Goals. Local exhibitors will offer fresh food, handmade items, and culinary treats.

For children, the Youth Red Cross Viersen branch will host craft workshops and game stations. Other highlights include raptor flight demonstrations and a mobile forest school. Shops in Viersen’s city centre will also open from 1 to 6 p.m., giving visitors extra time to browse. The event is backed by sponsors NEW (Niederrheinische Versorgung und Verkehr AG) and Volksbank Viersen. More information is available at [www.viersen.de](http://www.viersen.de).

The market will bring together local producers, sustainable projects, and family entertainment. With extended shopping hours and a focus on eco-friendly initiatives, organisers aim to draw both residents and visitors to Viersen’s city centre.
