'The Morning Show' Season 5 Adds Jeff Daniels, Jesse Williams in Major Cast Shake-Up

Season 5 of The Morning Show is taking shape with several new faces joining the cast. Production has already begun, though an official release date remains unconfirmed. Many familiar stars from earlier seasons will return alongside fresh talent. The upcoming season introduces Jeff Daniels as Lukas, a billionaire who built his fortune from scratch. His character is set to bring new dynamics to the show’s power struggles.

Jesse Williams will take on the role of Vernon, UBN’s newly appointed Head of News. His arrival is expected to create tension within the news division. Supporting him are two rising talents: Jeff Wilbusch and Sydney Park, who will join the newsroom team. Reneé Rapp has also signed on as Samantha, a young journalist making waves at UBN. Meanwhile, Karen Pittman’s character, Mia, may reassess her career ambitions after reflecting on Stella’s legacy. Most of the show’s core cast from previous seasons will return, ensuring continuity alongside the new additions.

Filming for Season 5 is now underway, though a premiere date has yet to be announced. The mix of returning favourites and high-profile newcomers suggests fresh storylines ahead. Fans will have to wait for further updates on when the season will air.
