Sochi Cup Crowns Champions in Thrilling Sprint and Endurance Races

The Sochi Cup wrapped up after three days of intense competition from May 22 to May 24. Athletes delivered standout performances across sprints and long-distance events, securing medals in tightly contested races. The men’s 110-meter hurdles saw a thrilling finish. Matvey Gerasimov took gold with a time of 13.66 seconds. Semen Manakov narrowly missed first place, clocking 13.874 seconds for silver. Daniil Shubin followed closely behind, earning bronze in 13.877 seconds.

In the women’s 100-meter final, Yulia Karavaeva dominated the field, winning in 11.39 seconds. Natalya Kombarova secured second place with a time of 11.53 seconds. Victoria Maksimova rounded out the podium, taking bronze in 11.73 seconds. The men’s 5,000-meter race was another highlight. Yevgeny Rybakov crossed the line first in 13:52.54, claiming gold. Anatoly Rybakov finished just behind, earning silver with a time of 13:53.34. Sergey Sharov completed the podium, winning bronze in 13:55.52.

The Sochi Cup showcased strong performances across multiple disciplines. Athletes set competitive times, with podium finishes decided by fractions of a second. The event concluded with clear winners in both sprint and endurance categories.
