SNL finale mocks Trump with Epstein's ghost in Oval Office satire
Saturday Night Live wrapped up its 51st season with a finale that aired on Saturday. The show’s cold open featured a comedic take on former President Donald Trump, played by James Austin Johnson, dozing off in the Oval Office.
This week’s episode also included a sketch where Trump receives an unexpected visit from the ghost of Jeffrey Epstein, portrayed by host Will Ferrell. The cold open began with Trump, played by Johnson, falling asleep at his desk in the Oval Office. Shortly after, the ghost of Jeffrey Epstein, played by Ferrell, appears to show him visions of his cabinet’s future.
In the sketch, Epstein gives Trump a preview of what awaits his former officials. The segment included Aziz Ansari as FBI Director Kash Patel, Colin Jost as Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, and Ashley Padilla as former Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem. Each actor portrayed exaggerated versions of the figures in their post-government lives. The episode marked the end of SNL’s 51st season. The finale featured Ferrell’s return as Epstein, alongside Johnson’s recurring impression of Trump. The sketches provided a satirical look at political figures and their imagined futures.
