SiGMA Europe 2026 reveals three finalists for Best Slot Game award

The competition for SiGMA Europe’s Best Slot Game 2026 has narrowed down to three finalists. Mighty Wild Gorilla, Duck Hunters Happy Hour, and Three Little Pigs: Magic Never Ends are now in the running. These titles follow a long line of award-winning slots that have shaped the industry over the years. Some of the most celebrated slot games began with early successes. Piggy Riches, developed by NetEnt in 2010, quickly became a cult favourite. Its popularity later inspired Piggy Riches Megaways, a modernised version of the original.

Big Bad Wolf by Quickspin arrived in 2013 and immediately made an impact. That same year, it won the EGR Operator Awards Game of the Year. Another standout, Wolf Gold by Pragmatic Play, launched in 2017 and went on to claim Best Slot Game at the 2018 Malta Gaming Awards.

More recent hits have also left their mark. Fat Rabbit, released by Push Gaming in 2018, became the foundation for the studio’s Fat series. Duck Hunters by NoLimit City followed in 2025, sweeping both Bigwinboard’s Game of the Year and AboutSlots’ Best Slot of the Year.

The latest contenders for SiGMA’s 2026 award bring fresh themes and styles. Wazdan’s Mighty Wild Gorilla, Hacksaw Gaming’s Duck Hunters Happy Hour, and Slot Mart’s Three Little Pigs: Magic Never Ends each offer distinct gameplay. Meanwhile, WMS’s Raging Rhino remains a fan favourite, blending vibrant visuals with a romanticised African safari theme. The finalists for SiGMA Europe’s Best Slot Game 2026 highlight the industry’s ongoing creativity. Each nominee follows in the footsteps of past winners, from NetEnt’s Piggy Riches to NoLimit City’s Duck Hunters. The award will recognise another standout title in a long tradition of innovative gaming.
