Self-Love Prevails in Ava Max's Fresh Single Titled 'Lovin' Myself'
Multi-genre Album from Ava Max, 'Don't Click Play,' On Horizon
Pop sensation Ava Max has been building anticipation for her upcoming third studio album, 'Don't Click Play,' with a series of singles hinting at her new musical direction. The latest addition to this anticipation is the empowering single "Lovin' Myself," released as summer approaches and music lovers seek uplifting tunes.
Producer Pink Slip, famed for Katseye's viral hit "Gnarly," worked with Max to bring this self-love anthem to life. In the track, Max sings with confidence about self-love and independence: "I don't need nobody, I'm lovin' myself / Tonight it's all about me, it's good for my health."
Max has enjoyed creative independence while working on her next project, a luxury she attributes to her current success. "I'm at a place where I can put out music anytime I want," she shared with Audacy in December. The album is expected to feature a diverse range of styles beyond mainstream pop, including elements of pop, rock, country, electropop, and alternative pop, dark wave, and R&B.
Whilst fans can expect a mix of upbeat pop songs, Max has emphasized that the album will also encompass a slower tempo and a more introspective lyrical style. "I had time to reset and figure out what I really wanted for this next album," she stated.
'Don't Click Play' is set for release on Aug. 22.
