Russia's new Your Country. Your Road Trip campaign invites explorers to hit the road
Russia has launched a nationwide campaign to encourage road travel across the country. Called Your Country. Your Road Trip, the initiative highlights over 130 scenic routes available on the national tourism portal, TravelRussia.rf. One of the newest additions is a journey through the Magadan region, named To the Edge of the World for the Golden Dream. Road trips have become a popular way for Russians to explore their country. According to recent figures, 62% of travellers hit the road with a partner, while 43% bring their children along. Another 33% choose to travel with extended family members.
The flexibility of car travel allows people to adjust their plans on the go. Drivers can stop whenever they like, take detours, or change routes without strict schedules. Families also find road trips budget-friendly, as they can be enjoyed at any time of year. Russia’s vast landscape is filled with landmarks and lesser-known spots, many easily reached by car. The Magadan region, in particular, has long been a key destination for both Russian and international auto and motorcycle expeditions. Its rugged beauty and remote location make it an appealing final stop for adventurers. The new *To the Edge of the World for the Golden Dream* route builds on this reputation.
