News Article: "Musical Summer" Festival Continues with a Family-Friendly Event Featuring the N.N. Nekrassov Academic Orchestra
The "Musical Summer" festival is set to continue its musical journey through Russia, with the second family-friendly event in its lineup. This time, audiences can look forward to "Shukshin Tales", an event that promises to transport them to the roots of the unique and multifaceted Russian soul.
At the heart of this event is the N.N. Nekrassov Academic Orchestra of Russian Folk Instruments, a centerpiece of the "Musical Summer" festival. Conducted by the international competition laureate, Eugeny Volchkov, this orchestra has been a mainstay in the festival since its inception in 2021.
Under the artistic direction of Victor Neverov, the orchestra performs a variety of music, including folk compositions, classical music, and works by contemporary composers. Their performance in "Shukshin Tales" will feature Vasily Shukshin's words and the dramatic prowess of Sergei Makovetsky, making for an unforgettable evening.
The N.N. Nekrassov Academic Orchestra of Russian Folk Instruments is no stranger to the main stages of Moscow, throughout Russia, and abroad. They have been a part of over 100 diverse concerts and performances as part of the "Musical Summer" festival, which has also taken place in Moscow, Sochi, and other cities.
However, "Shukshin Tales" is not the final event of the "Musical Summer" festival. The festival concludes on September 5 with a symphonic karaoke show dedicated to the legends of world rock.
Organized by Arte Musicum, a centre known for exploring engaging forms in culture and arts, "Shukshin Tales" is a family-friendly event, with an age restriction of 12+. So, gather your family and friends, and get ready for an evening filled with the enchanting sounds of Russian folk music.
