Russian port fined 150,000 rubles for illegal coal transshipment violations

Posyet Commercial Port JSC has been fined 150,000 rubles for environmental violations during coal transshipment. The port operated without the required state approval, leading to legal action by authorities. Officials have since confirmed that the company has corrected the issues.

The Primorsky Transport Prosecutor’s Office discovered that Posyet Port was handling coal without a valid environmental review approval. The port’s previous permit had expired, yet operations continued in Russian waters. As a result, the company faced administrative charges under three articles of the Russian Code of Administrative Offenses.

After receiving a formal notice, the port’s management took steps to resolve the violations. They obtained the necessary documentation and brought their activities into full compliance with environmental laws.

The fine of 150,000 rubles was imposed after the port failed to meet regulatory standards. Following the intervention, Posyet Commercial Port now operates legally, with all required approvals in place. No further violations have been reported since the corrective measures were implemented.
