Roman Mineyev sprints to victory at Taizhou's Asia Cup stage
Roman Mineyev from Russia took first place at the Asia Cup stage in Taizhou. His winning time of 54:31 secured the top spot in a competitive field. Kazakhstan’s Arlan Zhanabayev claimed bronze with a strong finish just seconds behind the leader. The race saw tight competition among the top finishers. Mineyev crossed the line in 54:31, narrowly ahead of China’s Minshui Li, who completed the course in 54:34. Zhanabayev followed closely, earning bronze with a time of 54:43.
Another Kazakhstani athlete, Ayan Beisenbayev, finished 11th with a time of 55:17. Further down the rankings, Maxim Shmulich placed 26th, clocking 56:13, while Temirlan Temirov came in 28th with a time of 56:35.
The event highlighted strong performances from both Russian and Kazakhstani competitors, with Mineyev’s victory marking the fastest time of the day. Mineyev’s win and Zhanabayev’s bronze were the standout results of the Taizhou stage. The top three finishers all completed the race within a 12-second gap. Kazakhstan’s athletes also showed depth, securing multiple positions in the final standings.
