Rodnichok summer camp celebrates 10 years with major modern upgrades
Rodnichok children’s summer camp in Tavda District is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year. The camp is now undergoing major renovations to create modern facilities for young visitors. Local officials have described the upgrades as a key step in improving summer experiences for children in the region. The camp secured funding through a competitive selection process under the Development of the Education System in Sverdlovsk Oblast programme. This funding will support the construction of new infrastructure, including 11 residential modules for campers. Two modern sanitary blocks and a modular medical centre with updated equipment will also be added.
Further improvements include a newly paved asphalt pathway across the camp grounds and emergency lighting systems. Valentin Mironov, head of Tavda, confirmed that these upgrades aim to provide a more comfortable and safe environment. The project is part of three major social initiatives planned for completion by the end of 2026. Rodnichok has long been a popular destination for children in the area. The renovations mark the first significant modernisation since its opening a decade ago.
The upgrades will transform Rodnichok into a camp with modern amenities and improved safety measures. With funding secured and construction underway, the facility is set to offer better conditions for summer activities. The project aligns with Tavda’s broader plan to enhance social infrastructure in the district.
