Robert Zemeckis' The Walk arrives in stunning 4K UHD with exclusive extras

The 2015 film The Walk, directed by Robert Zemeckis, has been released on 4K UHD Blu-ray. The movie blends biography, heist-style tension, and a tribute to New York’s twin towers. It follows Philippe Petit’s daring 1974 high-wire walk between the World Trade Center buildings. The Walk is based on Petit’s 2002 memoir To Reach the Clouds. Joseph Gordon-Levitt stars as the French high-wire artist, bringing his audacious stunt to life. The film carries a ‘PG’ rating for perilous scenes, mild language, brief nudity, and references to drugs and smoking.

The 4K UHD Blu-ray arrived on 19 May 2026, packed with extras. Bonus materials include deleted scenes, behind-the-scenes featurettes, and the original theatrical trailer. Digital viewers using Fandango at Home also get an exclusive featurette not found on the disc. The 4K release offers fans a chance to revisit Petit’s extraordinary feat in high definition. The bonus content provides deeper insight into the making of the film. Both physical and digital versions ensure audiences can explore the story in different ways.
