Primorsky Krai sees mixed price shifts in April 2026: travel deals and cost hikes
Residents of Primorsky Krai saw mixed price changes in April 2026, with some costs rising sharply while others fell. Travel to parts of Asia became significantly cheaper, but holidays in Turkey grew more expensive. Meanwhile, everyday goods and medicines showed varying trends in pricing. Travel costs shifted notably in April. Trips to Turkey rose by 9%, making vacations there pricier for locals. In contrast, journeys to China dropped by 2%, while visits to Central and Southeast Asian destinations fell by 7% and 31%, respectively. Holidays on Russia’s Black Sea coast also became 3% cheaper.
Back home, consumer prices climbed by 0.4% from March and by 7% compared to April 2025. Among food items, onions and table beets saw the biggest jumps, rising by 6% and 7%. Used imported cars, however, became nearly 2% more affordable. Medication costs spiked for some common drugs. Troxerutin, validol, marshmallow root extract, valerian extract, and activated charcoal all increased by 5–11%.
The latest figures reveal a split in spending pressures for Primorsky Krai residents. While travel to certain Asian destinations and Black Sea resorts has become more budget-friendly, Turkey holidays and several essential medicines now cost more. The overall rise in consumer prices reflects broader inflation trends affecting daily goods.
