Palma Boat Show Kicks Off Mediterranean Yachting Season with Record Success

The Palma International Boat Show has wrapped up another successful edition, marking the official start of the Mediterranean yachting season. Held across Moll Vell and Marina Port de Mallorca, the event drew industry leaders, buyers, and exhibitors from Europe and beyond. This year’s show featured over 300 exhibitors and 600 boats, ranging from compact leisure craft to ultra-luxury superyachts. The Superyacht Village became a focal point, showcasing some of the world’s most prestigious vessels and attracting high-net-worth clients.

New technologies took centre stage, with exhibitors presenting advances in eco-friendly propulsion and smarter onboard systems. The event also highlighted the industry’s growing focus on sustainability and innovation. Marga Prohens, representing the regional government, attended to underscore the show’s economic significance. Her visit reinforced the event’s role in boosting local businesses, from hotels to restaurants. Organisers estimate the 2023 edition generated around €21 million in economic impact, with tens of thousands of visitors contributing to the sector’s growth.

The strong turnout and high level of commercial activity suggest a promising summer ahead for the yachting industry. With record exhibitor numbers and a clear emphasis on cutting-edge technology, the show has once again cemented its status as a key event in the Mediterranean boating calendar.
