MediaTek Expands in India with New Noida R&D Hub in BPTP's Capital City
BPTP Limited has leased around 1,04,000 sq. ft. of office space to MediaTek for a new research and development hub in Noida. The facility marks the company’s second R&D centre in India, following its existing operations in Bengaluru. The deal is valued at approximately Rs. 144 crore over the lease period, subject to agreed terms and standard adjustments. The new hub will be located at BPTP’s Capital City in Sector 94, a mixed-use development offering about 780,000 sq. ft. of modern office and commercial space. The site holds top sustainability certifications, including LEED v4.1 O&M Platinum, IGBC Platinum, and WELL Core Platinum. Its proximity to the Okhla Bird Sanctuary Metro Station adds to its strategic appeal for businesses.
A MediaTek spokesperson confirmed that the Noida facility supports plans to grow the company’s talent pool and enhance research capabilities. The move follows a broader trend of global technology firms expanding in the National Capital Region. Manik Malik, CEO and President of BPTP, noted that the lease reflects rising demand from international tech companies in the area. MediaTek joins a diverse tenant mix at Capital City, which includes firms from various industries.
The transaction secures MediaTek’s presence in Noida with a long-term lease valued at Rs. 144 crore. The company’s second Indian R&D centre will operate from a high-specification, sustainably certified development. The deal also highlights BPTP Capital City’s growing reputation as a preferred business location in the NCR.
