Magadan's Young Artists Capture the Region's Transformation in Vibrant Contest

A creative competition for young residents of Magadan has showcased the region’s positive changes through children’s artwork. The contest drew 78 entries, with winners announced in two age groups: 6–10 and 11–14 years old. Their works will soon be displayed at a major exhibition.

The competition focused on how the region has improved in recent years. Participants aged 6 to 14 submitted drawings reflecting local progress. Judges then selected the best pieces in each category.

In the 6–10 age group, two children took top honours. Varvara Ryzhkova, 7, won with her artwork *Presidential Fitness Center*. Timur Sodboev, 6, also claimed a prize for his piece *Seaport*. The older category saw two winners as well. Ruslan Ignashin, 11, impressed with *Mayak Park*, while Milena Shushlebina, 13, earned recognition for *Gornyak Recreation Zone*. All winning works will be exhibited on May 16, 2026, during United Russia’s regional forum, *Results Delivered*. The event will also review the party’s People’s Program for 2021–2025 and outline future priorities. Winners and finalists will receive valuable prizes from United Russia’s regional branch.

The exhibition will highlight the children’s perspectives on Magadan’s development. Their artwork will be part of a broader discussion on the region’s progress. The forum aims to set new goals based on the program’s achievements so far.
