Loveland Concert Band launches free Disney-themed summer series on June 2

The Loveland Concert Band will kick off its Summer Concerts in the Park series on June 2, 2023. The first event, held at North Lake Park’s Lynn and Norma Hammond Amphitheater, will showcase music from beloved Disney films. Attendees can enjoy the performance for free, with the show starting at 7 p.m. The opening concert will feature tunes from Pirates of the Caribbean, The Little Mermaid, and Frozen. Organisers have invited the public to bring lawn chairs, blankets, and their families for an evening of entertainment.

During the event, local student achievements will also be highlighted with the presentation of scholarships. While admission is free, donations will be welcomed to help fund the band’s future performances and community initiatives. The concert series will continue through early July, offering a different theme each week. Upcoming performances will include Broadway classics, John Williams’s iconic film scores, patriotic favourites, and international selections.

The free concert on June 2 marks the start of a month-long celebration of music in Loveland. Residents and visitors can look forward to weekly performances, each with its own unique theme. Donations collected at the events will directly support the band’s ongoing work in the community.
