LinkedIn Launches Certification to Verify Top Ad Agencies
LinkedIn has introduced a new certification program for advertising agencies. The scheme aims to help businesses identify skilled partners for running LinkedIn Ads campaigns. Agencies that pass the assessment will receive official recognition, including a badge and marketing materials.
The move comes as demand grows for agencies that can deliver measurable results on the platform. LinkedIn claims its ads generate a 121% return on ad spend, making expertise in the area increasingly valuable. The LinkedIn Ads Agency Certification sets a benchmark for agencies working with small businesses. Certified firms gain access to a badge, pre-approved client communication templates, and a promotional kit. These tools are designed to help them stand out in competitive pitches.
Matt Derella, Vice President of LinkedIn Marketing Solutions, highlighted the importance of the certification. He noted that rising expectations for performance and skill make it essential for agencies to prove their capabilities. However, the certification does not ensure success for every business. Some agencies may lack expertise in specific industries, which could affect their effectiveness.
For small business owners, the program simplifies the process of selecting an agency. The certification confirms an agency’s proficiency in LinkedIn Ads, reducing the need for extensive vetting. Still, LinkedIn advises businesses to assess whether an agency’s strengths align with their own goals before committing. The certification provides a way for agencies to demonstrate their skills in LinkedIn advertising. Businesses can now more easily identify partners capable of driving real outcomes. Yet, while the badge signals expertise, companies should still evaluate an agency’s fit for their specific needs.
