LA Galaxy shatters Seattle's 22-game home unbeaten streak with 2-0 win

LA Galaxy secured a 2-0 victory over the Seattle Sounders at Lumen Field on a cool Saturday evening. The win marked the end of the Sounders’ impressive 22-match unbeaten run at home.

The Sounders started brightly, with Danny Musovski producing their best chance in the fifth minute. However, it was LA Galaxy who struck first when Marco Reus set up Gabriel Pec for the opening goal in the 23rd minute.

At half-time, Seattle made a change, bringing on Kalani Kossa-Rienzi for Peter Kingston. The substitution injected more energy into their attack, but they struggled to break through. In the 75th minute, Albert Rusnák’s free kick was pushed away by Galaxy keeper JT Marcinkowski, keeping the visitors ahead. The result was sealed in second-half stoppage time when Matheus Nascimento scored LA Galaxy’s second. The defeat ended Seattle’s nine-match unbeaten streak this season and handed them a third straight home loss where they conceded first.

The win snapped LA Galaxy’s 11-match winless streak in Seattle. For the Sounders, the loss brought an abrupt end to their long-standing home dominance. Both sides now look ahead to their next fixtures after a decisive result.
