Krasnodar Krai battles rising rivers as heavy rain triggers flood alerts

Downpours have caused water levels to rise in the rivers of Krasnodar Krai, with three municipalities reporting levels exceeding critical thresholds, according to the regional Ministry of Emergency Situations.

In Apsheronsky District, near the stanitsa of Kabardinskaya, the Pshish River flooded a section of road, forcing authorities to restrict traffic toward Khadyzhensk. Rivers remain above dangerous levels in several areas, including the Afips in stanitsa Krepostnaya, the Ubin in stanitsa Azovskaya (Seversky District), the Shebsh in Seversky District, and the Psekups in Goryachy Klyuch.

Rising water has also been recorded on the Defan River (Defanovka village, Tuapse District), the Protoka River (Achuyeo village, Slaviansky District), the Mezyb River (Divnomorskoye village, Gelendzhik), and the Pshish River (Kurinskaya stanitsa, Apsheronsky District).

As of now, no flooding has been reported. The situation remains under constant monitoring, and residents have been warned of potential risks.
