Jacob McEnroe named new head coach of Farrington's boys basketball team
Farrington High School has named Jacob McEnroe as its new boys basketball head coach. He takes over from Sol Batoon McEnroe already knows the school well. He currently teaches at Farrington and has run a junior varsity programme there. His experience with the players and their families gave him an edge in the selection process.
Before joining Farrington, he worked as an assistant coach at Kamehameha Schools. The school’s decision follows a review of three finalists for the position. McEnroe’s appointment comes after Sol Batoon’s three-year tenure. The new coach will now lead the varsity team, building on his existing work with younger players.
The new head coach will begin his role immediately. His familiarity with the programme and its players is expected to help with a smooth transition. The school has not announced any further changes to the coaching staff.
