High-stakes poker showdown reshapes tournament leaderboard at level 27

A high-stakes poker clash unfolded at level 27 of the tournament, where 535 players remained in contention. With €238,075 in total prizes and 100,000 chips in play, the competition grew fierce as key hands reshaped the leaderboard.

The first major confrontation saw Alfonso Benitez call Jorge Ruiz’s all-in bet of 685,000 from the Small Blind. Benitez held A♦️5♣️, while Ruiz revealed K♦️9♠️. The flop favoured Ruiz, landing a pair of kings and doubling his stack.

Later, Benitez moved all-in from the Hi-jack, only to be called by David Lamas. Benitez showed J♠️8♠️, but Lamas held A♣️2♣️. The hand ended in Benitez’s elimination, leaving him with 635,000 before his exit.

The tournament now continues with fewer players and higher stakes. Ruiz’s doubled stack and Lamas’s elimination of Benitez have shifted the dynamics, as the remaining competitors vie for a share of the €238,075 prize pool.
