Grady Emerson rises as America's top high school baseball prospect at 18

Grady Emerson is now the top high school baseball prospect in the US. His talent has caught the attention of MLB scouts and earned him a spot on Team USA’s youth squads. At just 18, he is already projected as a top-three pick in this year’s draft. Emerson’s passion for baseball started early. By age two, he was already obsessed with the game. His parents, Brandon and Deanna, supported his love for the sport from the beginning.

This season, he has dominated for the Cardinals, batting over .500 while showcasing his five-tool ability. Scouts, including White Sox Director of Scouting Mike Shirley and former Texas Rangers GM Jon Daniels, have taken notice of his skills. His performance has also earned him call-ups to Team USA’s U-15 and U-18 teams. Emerson models his game after Bobby Witt Jr., the second overall pick in the 2019 draft. His development has been guided by Rusty Greer, his head coach at Fort Worth Christian and a former MLB player. Greer’s influence has helped shape Emerson’s approach to the game. Looking ahead, Emerson has big ambitions. He dreams of a long MLB career and even hopes to one day enter the Hall of Fame.

With his talent and work ethic, Emerson is on track to be one of the first names called in the upcoming draft. His performances for Team USA and his high school team have already set him apart. The next step will be proving himself at the professional level.
