Fladungen Music Association celebrates 50 years of harmony and dedication

The Fladungen Music Association marked its 50th anniversary with a celebration at the Grenzlandhalle. Dozens of guests gathered to honour the club’s long history and the dedication of its members. The event featured awards, speeches, and a look back at half a century of music-making. The evening began with Tizian Trost and Jürgen Erb presenting the association’s history in an engaging way. Their retrospective highlighted key moments from the past five decades.

Four founding members were recognised for their lifelong commitment to the club. Among them, Claudia Abe, the longest-serving musician, spoke about her passion for music and why she has stayed involved for 50 years.

Awards were given to members for their years of service. Justus Fuchs received the NBMB’s bronze honour pin for ten years of musical engagement. Felicia Lang and Melina Goldbach were also acknowledged for five years of active participation. Meanwhile, Bianca Wehner, Marc Lucas Leutbecher, and Felix Erb were presented with the silver pin for 30 years of dedication. Jürgen Erb, a founding member, was awarded the gold pin for his 50 years of musicianship.

District Administrator Sonja Rahm praised the association’s role in teaching young people skills beyond music. Fladungen’s mayor, Gert Manning, thanked the club for fostering unity and commitment over the past 50 years. The anniversary event celebrated both the past and present of the Fladungen Music Association. Members young and old were honoured for their contributions, ensuring the club’s legacy continues. The evening closed with a renewed appreciation for the role of music in bringing the community together.
