Final Bugun-Bylyr 3 Wraps Filming in Yakutia's Stunning Landscapes

The third and final film in the Bugun-Bylyr sci-fi comedy series has wrapped production in Yakutia. Directed by Vasily Sleptsov, the movie follows Vasya and Roza as they deal with the fallout from their time-travel mishaps. The project reunites the original cast and is set for a 2026 release, though the date may shift depending on visual effects progress. Filming for Bugun-Bylyr 3: Time Running Out took place across multiple locations in Yakutia. The crew shot in urban areas like Yakutsk and Maiya, as well as rural spots such as Khapsagay, Amga, Yelanka, the Tit-Ary area, and Namtsy. To capture the region’s contrasting landscapes, production was split into two phases—one in summer and another in winter.

Vasily Sleptsov, who previously won the 8th Yakutsk International Film Festival, helmed the project. Gavril Adamov served as executive producer, with support from Sakhafilm studio, led by Alexey Yegorov. The film brings back key actors from the first two instalments, including Yaroslav Lebedev, Saina Ivanova, Oleg Belyaev, Valery Solovyov, and Domna Uigurova. The story picks up where the last film left off, exploring the consequences of Vasya and Roza’s time-travelling escapades. While the release is planned for 2026, the exact timing hinges on completing the film’s visual effects.

With production now finished, the team will focus on post-production and effects work. The franchise’s final chapter promises to close the story of its time-hopping protagonists. Fans can expect updates as the 2026 release window approaches.
