Everclear Films unveils three bold international projects at Cannes
Everclear Films has announced three new projects as part of its expansion into international long-form content. The slate includes a U.K. drama, a psychological thriller, and a Hindi-language feature. Two of the films were unveiled at the Cannes Film Market this week. The first project, Making Maya, is a U.K. co-production based on the true story of Maya Arputham, a transgender prosecutor in Britain. Early-stage funding discussions are ongoing, and talks with potential directors and co-producers have begun.
The second film, 16/32, is a psychological horror-thriller directed by Aditya Nair. Already partly funded, it is in pre-production, with filming set to take place in the U.K.
Meanwhile, Everclear’s debut feature, Mercy, recently completed a 14-day theatrical run in India and premiered in The Hague, Netherlands. An international release is scheduled for June, and a streaming deal is currently being finalised.
The third project, Badaa Kaam, is a Hindi-language feature with international financing already secured. Everclear Films now has a pipeline of three projects at varying stages of development. The company’s move into international productions marks a shift beyond its Indian market roots. All three films are expected to reach audiences through theatrical and streaming platforms in the coming months.
