Easter weekend weather swings from icy nights to mild afternoons

Friday will be mostly dry, though brief showers are expected in the southeastern regions. Overnight temperatures will range from –3°C in the northwest to +7°C in the southeast, with daytime highs reaching +12°C to +18°C.

On Saturday, light, intermittent precipitation—rain or wet snow—is forecast in parts of the north, along with patchy ice. Daytime showers are likely across much of the country, with gusty winds in places. Overnight lows will dip to between –2°C and +4°C, climbing to +6°C in the southeast, while daytime highs will vary from +7°C in the north to +16°C in the southeast.

For Easter Sunday, scattered showers—with possible wet snow overnight—are expected in some northeastern areas, accompanied by strong, gusty winds. Nighttime temperatures will hover between –1°C and +6°C, with daytime highs of +8°C to +15°C, reaching up to +17°C in the west.
