The image shows a large building with a lot of grass in front of it, surrounded by a metal fence, a pathway, a group of trees, some poles, banners with text on them, a bicycle parked aside, some houses with roofs and windows, and a cloudy sky. This building is the new children's play area at the school.

Berezovka's new 64M-ruble sports complex nears summer completion for two schools

A new sports complex is taking shape in the Berezovka microdistrict, marking the 125th anniversary of School No. 1. The 64-million-ruble facility will include a stadium, artificial-turf football pitch, and courts for volleyball and basketball. Alongside construction, the school has also recognised outstanding staff and students for their achievements this year. The project will create a modern sports hub for pupils from both School No. 1 and neighbouring School No. 2. Plans include spectator stands, an outdoor fitness zone, and upgraded pathways with improved lighting. Contractors have promised to deliver the complex ahead of schedule, aiming for completion this summer.

Quality remains a priority, with special focus on the drainage system to ensure long-term durability. The new facility will replace outdated infrastructure, offering students better training opportunities. Meanwhile, the school celebrated excellence in other areas. Teacher Yelena Serdyuk received a Certificate of Honor for her dedication in the classroom. Members of the Singing Hearts creative ensemble were also recognised with letters of appreciation for their contributions.

The sports complex will open its doors to students from two schools once finished. The upgraded facilities, combined with recent awards for staff and pupils, highlight ongoing investment in education and community development. Construction is set to wrap up before the new academic year begins.
