Beat & Bark Festival Brings Music, Dogs, and Adventure to Brandenburg
A new festival for dog lovers is coming to southern Brandenburg this autumn. The first-ever Beat & Bark event will take place from September 25 to 27 at the F60 visitor mine site in Lichterfeld. Organisers promise a mix of music, outdoor fun, and activities designed for both owners and their pets. The festival will unfold at Bergheider Lake, home to the decommissioned F60 conveyor bridge. This industrial giant—500 metres long, nearly 80 metres high, and weighing 11,000 tons—stands as a striking landmark. The site has previously hosted large gatherings, including the annual Feel Festival.
Visitors can expect a packed programme of dog-focused workshops. Activities will include canine dancing, dog frisbee, and even dog golf. For those who prefer water, stand-up paddleboarding with dogs will also be on offer. The surrounding area features open grounds and a sandy beach, providing plenty of space for exploration. Camping will be available for attendees and their pets. The F60 visitor mine site offers ample room for tents and caravans, allowing guests to stay overnight with their dogs.
The event marks the first time Beat & Bark has been held in the region. It will combine music, outdoor living, and pet-friendly entertainment over three days. Festival-goers can bring their dogs to participate in activities or simply enjoy the unique industrial setting.
