Baeksang Arts Awards 2024 crowns No Other Choice and Culinary Class Wars as top winners

The 62nd Baeksang Arts Awards celebrated the best in South Korean film, television, and theatre last night. The ceremony saw emotional speeches, a red carpet mishap, and several high-profile wins across categories.

The evening began with an unexpected moment when actress Shin Hyun-bin tripped on her gown and fell on the red carpet. Despite the stumble, she recovered quickly and continued into the venue.

The biggest film honours went to *No Other Choice*, which took home Best Film. Hong Kyung-pyo received the Grand Prize (Film) for *Harbin*, while Yoo Hae Jin won the Film Grand Prize for his role in *The King’s Warden*. Park Jeong Min was named Best Actor for *The Ugly*, and in his acceptance speech, Hyun Bin—who also won Best Actor—thanked his wife, Son Ye Jin, and their son. In the television categories, *Culinary Class Wars* secured the Grand Prize (Television). Moon Ka Young won Best Actress for *Once We Were Us*, and Yoon Ga-eun was awarded Best Director for *The World of Love*.

The awards recognised outstanding achievements in South Korean entertainment this year. Winners included both established names and rising talents, reflecting the industry’s depth and creativity. The ceremony closed with a mix of celebration and memorable moments.
