Ava Max Embraces Self-Love in Fresh Track Titled 'Lovin' Myself'

Pop star Ava Max is set to release her third studio album, Don't Click Play, on August 22, 2025. The highly-anticipated project follows the success of her second album, Diamonds & Dancefloors.

Over the past year, Max has tantalized fans with glimpses of her evolving musical direction through singles such as the upbeat "Spot a Fake" and the empowering "Lost Your Faith." Her latest single, "Lovin' Myself," offers a feel-good tempo for the warmer months.

Produced by Pink Slip, known for his work with Katseye's viral hit "Gnarly," "Lovin' Myself" aims to inspire self-love. The lyrics urge self-acceptance and affirmation, with Max singing, "I don't need nobody, I'm lovin' myself."

Working on her upcoming project, Max has enjoyed creative control over her output. In an interview with Audacy in December, she expressed her excitement about unhindered musical freedom.

"I'm at a place where I can just put out music anytime I want," stated Max. "This album will not be a collection of only upbeat pop songs. It will include slower songs, some pop, rock, and country records that fans haven't heard from me before."

Although expectant for a variety of moods in the upcoming LP, Max has taken time to ensure it sticks to her desired themes. "I didn't want to just put an album together and put it out," she said. "It has a mix of tracks I believe are some of the best I've ever made."

Ava Max's latest single, "Lovin' Myself," is a feel-good anthem aimed at inspiring self-love, as part of her broader music strategy for her upcoming third studio album, Don't Click Play. In the album, Max is expected to showcase not just upbeat pop songs, but also slower songs, some rock, and even country records that fans haven't heard from her before, demonstrating her evolving entertaining direction.
