Astana's Unfading Melodies concert celebrates Kazakh music on City Day
Astana’s Philharmonic Hall hosted a special concert to mark City Day. Titled Unfading Melodies, the event brought together some of Kazakhstan’s most celebrated artists. The programme highlighted the country’s rich musical traditions in a night of folk and classical performances. The concert was organised by Arailym Rakhmkyzy, an Honored Figure of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Her efforts brought together a star-studded lineup, including Bagdat Samidinova, Yedil Isakayuly, and Anar Muzdakhanova. Also performing were Elmira Zhabergen, Yestai Mukashuly, and Akbota Kerimbekova, alongside the Aqayyndylar ensemble and other distinguished musicians.
The programme featured beloved folk songs from Kazakhstan’s golden musical heritage. Audiences also heard compositions by the nation’s most renowned classical composers. Each piece was chosen to reflect the depth and diversity of Kazakh music, from traditional melodies to contemporary arrangements.
