Yekaterinburg's symbolic run kicks off SberPrime Green Marathon excitement
A symbolic run in Yekaterinburg has marked the build-up to the upcoming SberPrime Green Marathon. The event, scheduled for May 30, drew participants from regional authorities, business leaders, and top athletes. Organisers also announced a charity fair, football masterclass, and family quests for spectators on the day.
The run took place near the Kosmos Cultural and Convention Center. Among the participants were Pyotr Koltypin, Senior Vice President of Sberbank and Chairman of the Ural Bank, and Kirill Skuratov, CEO of Ural Airlines. Tatyana Savinova, Deputy Governor and Health Minister of Sverdlovsk Oblast, also joined in.
Prominent athletes Ivan Alypov and Olesya Krasnomovets took part alongside Ilya Obabkov, Rector of Ural Federal University. Representatives from media, education, and local businesses were present as well. The main marathon on May 30 will offer adults four race options: 1 km, 4.2 km, 10 km, or a half-marathon of 21.1 km. For those not running, a charity fair, creative workshops, and a family adventure quest will be available.
The symbolic run highlighted broad support for the SberPrime Green Marathon. With races of varying lengths and activities for non-runners, the event aims to engage the wider community. Final preparations are now underway for the May 30 marathon.
