Yekaterinburg's Leto na Zavode Festival Returns with Music, Food and Community Spirit

The cultural season Leto na Zavode returns on May 30 with a vibrant programme of music, food, and community events. This year’s theme, Strong Connections, will bring together performances, workshops, and shared experiences for all ages. Visitors can expect everything from opera and live concerts to flower festivals and children’s activities.

The opening day on May 30 kicks off with a grand flower festival, featuring a screening of Tulips by Red Pepper Film and a collective daisy fortune-telling session. As the sun sets, bachata and salsa rhythms will fill the air for an evening of open-air dancing.

On May 31, the Ural Opera makes its first appearance of the season, with further performances scheduled for June 13, July 26, and August 30. Local musicians Max Yudin and indie band *sonyaprosti* will also take the stage that evening. Meanwhile, photographer Alexey Shakhov will lead a talk on uncovering hidden details in the city. Throughout the season, *Glavny* chefs will host special tastings, building up to a large communal dinner in August. On August 2, the Ural retro-wave band *Peremotka* will perform an acoustic set. Every weekend from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM, a children’s workshop will offer activities such as a young naturalist school and acting classes. The choral season will also begin, with participants singing together in informal, shared sessions.

The festival runs from late May through August, blending art, music, and food in a series of interactive events. Organisers have expanded the children’s programme and added new communal experiences, ensuring activities for all ages. The full schedule and ticket details are available on the Leto na Zavode website.
