Lisakovsk Celebrates Kazakh Heritage with a Grand Orchestral Performance
A special concert took place in Lisakovsk as part of the KhalkyŪni project, which aims to celebrate Kazakh art and preserve cultural traditions. The performance featured the Kazakh National Kurmangazy Orchestra of Folk Instruments, drawing in audiences from across the region. The event was held at the Palace of Culture, organised with support from Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Culture and Information and local authorities. It formed part of a wider tour across Kostanay Region.
The orchestra delivered a polished performance, blending professional skill with a strong national identity. Their repertoire included works by legendary composers such as Kurmangazy Sagyrkuly, Tattimbet Kazangapuly, and Dauletkerei Shygauly. Pieces by Ykylas Dukenuly and Dina Nurpeisova were also featured. Among the performers was Zhenis Yskakova, an Honored Worker of Kazakhstan and recipient of the Order of Parasat.
