Wassermanns Kütz Celebrates 10 Years of Music and Community Spirit

The Wassermanns Kütz are marking their 10th anniversary with a weekend of celebrations. What began as a small performance at the Föhlritz village festival in 2016 has since grown into a beloved regional tradition. The group now plays at events across the Rhön, offering a mix of well-known tunes and original compositions. The festivities kick off on Friday, May 8, with a brass music evening called Aufgebrasst in Oberalba. Starting at 8:00 PM, the event will feature lively performances in a relaxed setting.

The main anniversary celebration takes place the following evening, Saturday, May 9, also beginning at 8:00 PM. Entry is free, and attendees can expect a special toast as the band taps the first keg of beer. Mothers present will receive a surprise gift in honour of Mother’s Day. Throughout the pandemic, the Wassermanns Kütz kept their music alive by hosting livestreams and intimate concerts. This period also inspired them to start writing their own songs, adding a personal touch to their repertoire. Proceeds from the anniversary events will support DKMS and ISA Kompass, two charitable organisations. Today, the group continues to perform across the Rhön, bringing their energetic sound to festivals, gatherings, and local celebrations.

The anniversary weekend highlights a decade of music and community for the Wassermanns Kütz. Free admission on Saturday ensures everyone can join the celebration, while donations will aid important causes. Their journey from a village festival act to a regional favourite reflects both their passion and the strong support of their audience.
