Vladivostok's new 110/6 kV substation nears completion in Snegovaya Pad
A new 110/6 kV substation is being built in Vladivostok’s Snegovaya Pad area. The project, led by engineers from Primorsky Electric Networks, aims to strengthen the local power grid. Once complete, it will supply reliable electricity to both new and existing apartment buildings.
Work on the Snegovaya substation has progressed steadily. Foundations for transmission towers and bases for the modular building and 110 kV open switchgear are already in place. Two 6.3 MVA power transformers have also been installed at the site.
The company prepared in advance by securing key equipment, including voltage transformers, disconnect switches, and gas-insulated circuit breakers. Overhead equipment has now arrived and will be fitted soon. Meanwhile, construction of a cable line to the substation continues, with trenches for power transmission lines already dug. The substation will function as a major power hub for the area, offering a 5 MW capacity output. According to the current timeline, the entire project remains on track for completion by the end of the year.
The new substation will provide uninterrupted electricity to residents in Snegovaya Pad. Its 5 MW capacity will support both current and future housing developments. Construction remains on schedule, with all major components now in place.
