Teen faces theft charges after stealing and selling a smart speaker in Magadan

An 18-year-old from Magadan is under investigation for stealing a smart speaker. The incident took place at a pickup point on Yakutskaya Street, with authorities now pursuing a criminal case against the suspect. The theft occurred when the young man allegedly took the device from a designated collection spot. Police later confirmed the stolen item was a smart speaker, valued at part of the total damage.

The suspect did not keep the speaker for long. Instead, they sold it shortly after the theft. Investigators have since calculated the financial loss at 4,000 rubles.
