The image shows a crowd of people sitting on benches in front of a stage, with some people standing on the ground. There is a person holding a camera, a device on a stand, a banner with some text on it, some poles, a metal frame, some trees, the bark of the trees, some buildings with windows, and a cloudy sky. It appears to be a summer concert in the park.

'Singing into Summer' unites music and charity at Alhaurín Golf

A charity evening filled with music and entertainment is set to take place at Alhaurin Golf Clubhouse. 'Singing into Summer,' hosted by TAPAS, will raise funds for two local causes: Donkey Dreamland and Age Concern. The event promises live performances, socialising, and support for vulnerable members of the community. The Andalucia Performing Arts Society (TAPAS) has organised the evening for Saturday, May 9. Guests can book their places through the group’s website. All proceeds will go directly to Age Care and Donkey Dreamland.

Age Care provides older residents with practical assistance and social contact. Meanwhile, Donkey Dreamland focuses on rescuing and rehabilitating abandoned or mistreated donkeys.

The event’s centrepiece is the TAPAS choir, which brings together singers of all nationalities. Live music will also feature Dave Lewis, a versatile performer known for his skills as a singer, guitarist, and pianist. Espresso Doble will add to the evening’s energy with their own set.

Leon Patras will host the night, keeping guests entertained and ensuring a smooth flow of activities. The combination of music, charity, and community spirit aims to make the evening both enjoyable and meaningful. The funds raised will help Age Care continue its support for elderly residents. Donkey Dreamland will also benefit, allowing the charity to expand its work with neglected animals. Organisers hope the event will bring people together while making a real difference to both causes.
