Russia Launches 2023 Exporter of the Year Award for Global Trade Leaders
Applications are now open for the Exporter of the Year: Made in Russia National Award. The competition, organised by the Russian Export Center (REC), will accept entries until May 31, 2023. Businesses of all sizes—from large firms to individual entrepreneurs—are encouraged to take part. The event is run by the REC, a division of the VEB.RF Group. It provides financial and non-financial support to companies looking to enter global markets, including services through the My Export digital platform. To qualify, applicants must be Russian organisations with no outstanding tax debts.
The competition features two stages: regional selection across federal districts, followed by national finals. Entries are submitted online via the award’s official website, requiring only a taxpayer identification number (INN). Small and medium-sized enterprises must also provide an extract from the unified register.
Main categories include Industry, Agribusiness, Food Products, Fashion, Beauty, High-Tech & IT, Film & Animation, and Tourism. Special awards cover Woman Exporter of the Year, New Markets, Marketing Breakthrough, and Global Expansion of Retail & Digital Platforms. The competition is linked to the Made in Russia national promotion program, offering extra benefits to companies holding its mark of approval. The deadline for submissions is May 31, 2023. Successful participants will gain recognition and access to REC’s export support services. The awards aim to highlight Russian businesses excelling in international trade.
