May's weather has given a taste of things to come, with some regions experiencing heatwaves while others have had to roll out their winter coats again. June will follow suit, with the Hydrometeorological Center predicting that the north of the Urals, Siberia, and Yakutia may once again experience freezing temperatures. Europe's part of Russia is also expected to see cold spells.

The coldest temperatures are anticipated in mountainous regions. The Republic of Altai, Kemerovo region, the central part of the Krasnoyarsk Krai, Khakassia, Tuva, Altai Krai, Tomsk region, Novosibirsk region are all forecast to experience temperatures as low as -5°C to -7°C. Tova will see slightly warmer temperatures, hovering around -2°C.

Additionally, these regions are poised to suffer from heavy rainfall. In mountainous areas, rain mixed with snow and large hail is predicted, with winds reaching up to 22-25 meters per second. The situation on Lake Baikal is particularly dangerous, with gusts potentially reaching 36 meters per second. Residents are urged to exercise caution and prepare for sudden weather deterioration.
